Creative Sandbox by Google
Tech giant Google employed the use of an interactive MultiTaction table to display their Creative Sandbox projects, giving event goers the opportunity to discover and discuss Google’s work in a group setting.
The projects in the creative sandbox broke down into several groups that each use a certain type of technology “building blocks.” These included video, social, mobile, GEO APIs, search, display, web/apps, and commerce. Each of these groups had a physical “block” that when placed on the table revealed the projects in that specific group. Users then expanded a project from “thumbnail view” to “detail view” to learn more about it. In “detail view,” users were be able to swipe through areas of information about different aspects of the project.
With the MultiTaction display’s built-in data tracking software, Google can glean fantastic insights from touchpoint data. For example, the group that received the most touches tells them which one was the most compelling one for users to click on right away; the project that received the longest time of engagement tells them which one has the most interesting content; the project that receives the most bounces tells them which ones should be buried beneath the higher performing content.

Audi’s 3D Feature Explorer
At car shows around Europe, automotive manufacturer Audi used a MultiTaction table to bring a unique, interactive element to their marketing. These interactive, HD displays showed off the efficiency of Audi automobiles and other products. Users are able to play with 360-degree animation, videos, pictures and product information in a number of different languages.
Displayed on an L-shaped table, four computers operated the corresponding screens embedded into the top of the table. The individual screens display images of a city from above with nine different types of Audi automobiles driving through its streets. With a simple hand gesture, the user can pick their desired vehicle. A window opens on the screen and displays the specific efficiency features of this virtual car to the user. Once prompted, the user can continue to go through menu items with another simple hand gesture.

Glenfiddich Whiskey Interactive Learning Table
Glenfiddich, the world’s best-selling distiller of single malt whiskey, used MultiTaction technology to create an impressive interactive display with an educational twist.
The intention of these MultiTaction displays was to not just communicate the unique characteristics of the brand, but to also engage consumers in a compelling experience, hosted at the century-old Neilson Hays Library in Bangkok.
Library goers can experience a “distillery tour," where guests use interactive displays, mixed with real-world design fabrications to learn about how Glenfiddich products are made. Technology is there to teach guests about the whiskey, as well as offer pairing suggestions and flavor profiles.
While the company may not be able to bring everyone to Scotland to see how their whiskey is made, they can bring elements of that distillery production process directly to consumers, wherever they may be, with the help of MultiTaction technology.
Auckland War Museum - Collect and Connect Game
New Zealand’s Auckland War Museum created an interactive Collect and Connect game for an exhibit targeted toward a young audience of 9 to 12-year-olds.
The purpose of the game is to give museum goers a chance to assume the role of curator and hunt down objects related to the various historic topic covered throughout the museum. With in-game features such as color codes, written hints, and iconography, players advance through the table using their own physical game piece.
Each game enables the player to directly interact with the objects they have found and collected. What’s really compelling is that each object is actually held within the museum’s collection, so there are associated images and descriptions, and the museum goers can then go find the object in real life. The game offers a fun, innovative and collaborative example of how museums can collect, curate and view data.
The Collect and Connect game is an example of a physical-digital museum experience at the leading edge of creative technologies. It cleverly brings together a combination of technologies, including infrared camera tracking and multi-touchscreen systems, 3D printed and printed solutions, data- driven and client-managed content, and a modern game engine development platform.

Exploratorium - Plankton Population
The Exploratorium in San Francisco is known for its unique museum experiences. The Plankton Population MultiTaction table is an exhibit that gives users the chance to view the plankton populations in oceans throughout the world using special “lenses” placed atop the digital ocean display.
It was important to find a way to make the giant screen work within the context of the Exploratorium, which encourages hands-on group interaction and discussion. It needed to be a large enough table for many users to gather around and talk about what they were seeing. If the user wanted to find out more about plankton in a certain location, they just hover over it with the lens and an interactive display pops up, explaining more about the region’s species. Users can gather and share data to understand the impact these intriguing creatures have on our environment.
