Did you hear our industry leaders’ latest announcement? An All-Exhibition Industry Summit is planned for October 2011. GES’ own Senior Vice President of National Sales, Chuck Grouzard, serves as chairman of Exhibit Services and Contractors Association (ESCA), one of the four industry associations leading the summit, and he says that it’s time the exhibitions’ industry steps up and defines best practices.
ESCA, along with American Society of Association Executives (ASAE), Society of Independent Show Organizers (SISO) and International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE), will invite two elected leaders from the following industry organizations to create a set of “Guiding Principles” for the industry:
1. The Center for Exhibition Industry Research (CEIR) 2. The Corporate Event Marketers Association (CEMA) 3. The Destination Marketing Association International (DMAI) 4. The Exhibitor Appointed Contractors Association (EACA) 5. The Exhibit Designers and Producers Association (EDPA) 6. The Healthcare Exhibitors Association (HCEA) 7. The International Association of Venue Managers (IAVM) 8. The International Center for Exhibitor and Event Marketing (ICEEM) 9. The International Exhibition Logistics Associates (IELA) 10. The Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) 11. The Trade Show Exhibitors Association (TSEA)
