Selecting an organization to support throughout the holiday season is something our marketing team looks forward to each year. This year, we chose the John F. Miller School for Special Education, located in Las Vegas. After touring the school, our team quickly found two key ways we could help. First, we launched our Holiday Cheer campaign by decorating the multipurpose room of the school. A team of 40 employees transformed the room into a winter wonderland for the students and staff to enjoy. Read more about our day of giving here and if you haven’t watched our time lapse video yet, don’t miss out, you can view it here!
While touring the school we learned how beneficial iPads are for these special students. The school didn’t have any iPads. The only one in use belonged to a teacher. As a result, part two of our Holiday Cheer campaign was to donate iPads and iTunes cards to the school. For every view of the time lapse video, a donation was made. After almost a month of participation we’ve received almost 1,700 views of our video on YouTube. We also had 100 shares on Facebook and Twitter – and these numbers are growing daily.
On December 16, GES President Steve Moster presented the school with ten iPads and ten, $50 iTunes gift cards. Once the final video views are tallied, we look forward to giving the school even more iPads and iTunes gift cards. Thanks to all who participated and helped us give back! The gifts were presented on behalf of our clients, and the school’s amazing staff was overwhelmed by the support.
