The parade was a thrilling spectacle, with GES and onPeak's float adorned with vibrant symbols representing trades, technology, and education. As everyone marched through the streets, they spread positive vibes and a powerful message of support.
In the spirit of giving back to our communities, GES once again partnered with our guests to donate supplies to our chosen charity, Cradles to Crayons. Diapers, wipes, baby clothes, and school supplies were collected to support children and families in need throughout the Chicagoland area.
The celebration continued at Buddy Guy's Legends, where the atmosphere was electric with performances by the Lavin-Cassidy Irish Dancers, the Shannon Rovers Irish Pipe Band, and the Gleeson Trio Band. The venue was alive with music, laughter, and dancing.
Food enthusiasts were delighted by mouth-watering options such as Harrington's Corned Beef Sandwiches and the ever-popular Lou Malnati's Pizza. A photo booth captured all the fun moments, while trivia games, Pot O' Gold Pictionary, and Heads or Tails Irish games kept everyone entertained and competitive.
The Leprechaun Lounge was a hit with the kids, featuring a candy bar, bracelet-making, balloon sculptures, and even a mad scientist with mind-blowing experiments. There was no shortage of activities to keep everyone engaged and happy.
As a special keepsake, guests took home exclusive GES & onPeak St. Patrick's Day scarves, traditional Irish soda bread, and commemorative pint glasses, ensuring the memories of the day would last long after the festivities ended.
GES & onPeak extend a huge shoutout to their amazing clients and their families for making the day so special. A big thank you also goes to this year's fantastic sponsors: Kushner & Associates, CORT, Visit Seattle, Map Your Show, Destination Toronto, and Floral Exhibits.

I loved walking in the parade, the entertainment, and the giveaways. Honestly, I love everything about this event!
Have you ever wondered why Chicago dyes the river green?
In 1961, Stephen Bailey, the business manager for the Chicago Journeymen Plumbers Local Union, noticed that a plumber’s white overalls were stained with a bright green dye, reminiscent of the emerald green associated with Ireland.
Originally, this green dye was used to clean up the river’s waterfront areas. When Richard J. Daley became mayor of Chicago in 1955, he sought to identify the sources of sewage in the water. The green dye helped pinpoint leaky pipes.
In 1962, the Plumbers Local Union decided to use 100 pounds of this dye to turn the river green for St. Patrick’s Day – and it remained green for a week! ☘️
