The International Woodworking Fair 2018 took place at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, GA with over 20,000 attendees from 85 countries.
1073 exhibitors showed off their products on over 600,000+ square feet of show floor, with 38,000+ ft. of graphics and 390,000+ square feet of carpet for a total takeover.
Local union members banded together with the 80 GES team members brought in for the event, working multiple shifts to process 2000+ trucks to set up 1000+ booths, and overlapping two major concerts and 3 NFL games.
Although the venue was busy as part of an active construction site, and 40% of the docks were closed amid sporadic road closures in a congested urban area, our dedicated GES staff – with a combined 117 years of experience with GES clients – made it happen flawlessly.
In fact, this show resulted in the highest exhibitor satisfaction score of 91.6% overall.
But the work isn’t over just because the show is over. Our team moved out the whole event in six days, with 80% of the materials diverted from landfill. This surpassed even our goal of 65% sustainability.
For 30 exhibit hours over four days, GES worked tirelessly to deliver an epic event and unforgettable attendee experience, summed up succinctly by one client as “Awesome Job.” One best-in-class show. One GES.
