PLAYMOBIL has been a trusted name in creative play since 1974. The brand's iconic figures captured the imagination of children and adults alike for decades, with over 4 billion figures produced and more than 40 play themes available in around 100 countries.
We were approached by PLAYMOBIL to create an exhibition stand for Toy Fair 2026 at Olympia in London, the UK's largest annual toy, game and hobby trade show. Toy Fair brings together toy manufacturers, buyers, licensors, and distributors from around the world, so making an impression is a must.
At an event like Toy Fair, packed full of stands that are bursting with colour and interactive experiences, standing out can be a challenge. PLAYMOBIL wanted an exhibition stand that encapsulated their instantly recognisable brand identity, whilst still creating an inviting space where staff could have meaningful conversations with attendees.
This meant we would need to create a stand that not only had the 'wow' factor, but would also offer practical working spaces, well-considered floor planning to maximise space, and high-quality branding throughout the stand.
PLAYMOBIL chose to work with GES and Show Ready because their proven expertise and ability to turn creative concepts into high-quality, functional stands were just what they needed.
GES responded to the brief with a Show Ready stand with the option to add extras to fully customise the stand. We selected the Nile package for its 98 sqm stand, which would give PLAYMOBIL a wraparound brand experience for high-impacting exhibiting.
The stand extras included 18 Olympus chairs, 6 poser tables, and a leather stool, providing plenty of seating options for meetings. To make it even more practical, the stand also had areas for staff to stash their belongings out of sight.
As we are committed to sustainability, we used eco-friendly printing processes for the signage and walls, printing on PVC-free fabric that could be recycled after the event. Every element of a Show Ready stand is designed to be reused and recycled, so our clients can rest assured their stand has been created with the environment in mind.
The PLAYMOBIL stand allowed the team to successfully engage with visitors from both trade and consumer sectors. The design of the stand, with its spacious seating area and well-considered floor plan, meant that visitors spent more time there, engaging with the PLAYMOBIL team for meaningful discussions and product demonstrations.
Feedback from the client highlighted that the stand performed strongly, with the stand visibility and the quality of leads that came through as a result offering a positive return on investment.
