GES Delivers Fifth Show for Dubai South

Dubai South rebranded in 2015 from Dubai World Central and as part of their objectives for the Dubai Air Show in November they were looking to highlight the new look and feel. The team was keen to create awareness of the new integrated lifestyle brand, which focused on the residential, entertainment and business development, and in particular the Aviation District.

For both the static display stand and the hospitality chalet it was important to exude a feeling of space and comfort while keeping a professional appeal.  This was their first stand at the new Air Show site in Dubai South. At 400m2 it was one of the biggest static displays at the show. As well as ensuring visibility, emphasizing the new brand colours of their corporate identity was central to the brand reveal.

We first worked with Dubai South at MEBA 2014 (the Middle East’s leading Business Aviation exhibition). The Dubai South management team responded with great reviews of our first engagement on the quality of the delivery. Proving that GES could deliver on its promises we were invited back for aviation shows in Miami, London, MRO Aviation Week (Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul) and the most recent Dubai Air Show.

As a government entity, it is something of a milestone to have cemented a relationship for five events in a row. This is testament to the continuity of the team working in partnership with Dubai South; and particularly the Project Head, who has managed the team through extremely challenging timelines with enthusiasm and infectious energy. The team has a ‘can do’ attitude and has negotiated with venues in order to achieve deadlines keeping the client abreast of progress on the way.

The chalet for Dubai South at the Dubai Air Show in 2015 was a prime example of addressing challenges head on. The client admitted their nervousness at whether the job could be completed in only two and half weeks. However, with determination and after achieving 24-hour access, the GES team pulled out all the stops resulting in an ‘elegant and chic’ delivery.
