Budapest, 31 January 2019AVATAR: Discover Pandora, inspired by James Cameron’s AVATAR, a significant film of the cinematic arts of the 21st-century, will make its first stop in Europe. The spectacular blockbuster exhibition presents the breathtaking environment and compelling creatures of Pandora. The exhibition will open in Andrássy Event Center, for a limited time, from 2 February through 31 May.

Gabriella Illés, head of TulipánTündér Productions, and founder of Andrássy Event Center, welcomed press to the extraordinary visual experience. The beautifully designed exhibition was created through a collaboration between the creative teams at GES Events, Lightstorm Entertainment and FoxNext Destinations.

“I am proud that Budapest will be the starting point for the European tour of the exhibition, already presented in several places in Asia,” Ms. Illés says.

The exhibition was inspired by James Cameron’s 2009 film AVATAR, which is the most successful movie in film history. Using revolutionary special effects, and presenting a fantastical environment beyond the scope of the world as we know it, Cameron’s film astounded audiences of all ages, and became an international phenomenon.

“The exhibition offers the same authentic and unique experience as James Cameron’s blockbuster film,” Ms. Illés continues.

“The opening of AVATAR: Discover Pandora in Budapest represents the culmination of the collaborative efforts of many talented designers and craftsmen to bring this unique AVATAR experience to fans in Hungary,” said Robin Stapley, vice president of creative and design, GES Events. “We are thrilled to kick off the European leg of the tour in such a historic location.”

The AVATAR: Discover Pandora exhibition captures and brings to Earth the compelling beauty of an alien world while offering unique insight about our own planet. Regardless of age, visitors to this entertaining and educational exhibition will have the opportunity to explore the scientific and wonderful phenomena of the world of Pandora. The exhibition showcases astounding features like the Hallelujah Mountains, the Tree of Souls, and the life-sized recreations of creatures including the breathtaking Banshee, the Direhorse, the wild Viperwolf, the glowing Hexapede, along with the majestic Na’vi.

Visitors have a chance to learn about space travel and the science that enabled the discovery of Pandora in the Alpha Centauri solar system. They will also be able engage in interactive activities based on the culture, language and music of the Na’vi, the 270-centimeters-tall humanoids who are the indigenous people of Pandora. Additional interactives introduce visitors to the jewel-like glow of Pandora’s bioluminescent plants and animals; picture themselves as Na’vi; and enable them to learn how to use the AMP suit.

The Hungarian stop was organized with the cooperation of TulipánTündér Production, the company that established Andrássy Event Center. They have organized exhibitions and managed the largest theatrical productions of Hungary, such as the recent performance titled The Dream Traveler.
