The coach and bus industry is a traditional one. A fact which is reflected in stand designs at industry shows. Having provided them with the ‘Best Stand’ at Coach and Bus 2011, Vix asked us to deliver a design as contemporary and revolutionary as their products. A stand unlike anything their industry had seen before.The only problem: a long time after booking their space, they were informed by the event organiser that their stand size and orientation had changed …

“Fail to prepare; prepare to fail” or so the saying goes. Having anticipated the possibility of the stand dimensions changing, we created a high-end design that could be constructed in geometrical sections. This enabled us to recalibrate to the new dimensions without losing time on a redesign.
Delivering on the brief for a revolutionary contemporary design, the stand featured a number of innovative design elements. A three-dimensional logo one metre high was suspended from the ceiling and lit with concealed LEDs using a DMX switcher. This device uses Pantone colours from the logo and converts them into evolving waves that create a hypnotic motion colour effect.
Concealed within the open stand design, we also fitted a private-access lounge area, giving reps a space to discuss large or sensitive projects with officials. Proving that style never has to come at the expense of substance.
