We’re an industry that boasts incredible talent and a wide variety of capabilities. Sometimes it’s hard to know how to best use those capabilities to serve our communities. For us, it came down to a worthy charity, an opportunity to showcase design capabilities and a personal story.
The Las Vegas Chapter of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital asked us to help create “An Affair of the Heart,” a gala taking place Saturday, May 21, 2011. We created nine four- foot by two-foot sculpted hearts, hosted a press conference and are currently designing a 20th century Parisian street experience for the gala.Painted by local artists, the giant hearts appeared at our Las Vegas office, and will be displayed around the Las Vegas valley before being auctioned -at the gala.
We are happy that as a team we’re able to raise awareness for an important cause. This touched even closer to home for our EVP of Exhibition Sales, Jeff Quade, whose sister benefitted from St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital as a child with a congenital heart problem. He spoke about the high level of care and special memories St. Jude left his family with.
