From the hands-on training and inspiring keynotes, to the involved community pavilion, this year’s Adobe Summit was an experience!
With Adobe’s recent acquisition of Marketo and Magento, attendees were eager to see how Adobe would combine the Marketo audience with the Adobe experience. They delivered, in a big way! The theme of the conference this year was transformation.
Inspiring Keynotes and Sneaks
Adobe brought several inspiring speakers and immersive experiences to the conference this year. The opening keynote session focused on announcing with detail the new acquisitions and products coming out of Adobe, including how the recent Marketo and Magento partnerships will continue to strengthen Adobe’s suite of marketing tools.
A later keynote session focused on transformative leadership, featuring industry titans including Satya Nadella, Reese Witherspoon, Drew Brees and Pam Oliver. Each sharing their own journey of transformation, the audience was left feeling inspired and ready to challenge conventional marketing and business notions. These heroic business stories included Reese revamping the way we think about content for women, Drew Brees proving that football is also a data-driven business, and Satya talking about the transformation of Microsoft and the importance of culture to drive that transformation.
A fan favorite each year, the Summit Sneaks did not disappoint. Along with the help of Mindy Kaling, Adobe’s team of innovators presented seven “sneaks” to the conference and invited everyone to vote on their favorite through social media. Some exciting things that might make it into the roadmap include AI-driven customer journey mapping, Sensei photoshop assistance, and transforming static photos into dynamic works of art. Check out Twitter to see the favorites.
Hands-On Labs and Sessions
With hundreds of sessions and many tracks to choose from, Adobe Summit provided marketers of all kinds an opportunity to learn best practices, apply modern tactics, and share experiences with colleagues across industries. Some of my favorite topics included 1) focusing on creativity and content, 2) scaling your marketing operations, and 3) thinking outside of the box when challenging the marketing status quo. Regardless of industry, skill level, or focus, the conference offered learnings for everyone.
Community Pavilion that Promoted “Community”
Adobe transformed a traditional expo hall into a community pavilion for attendees to network together while also learning about partners and products to enhance Adobe’s marketing tools. Exciting activities and booths included the 90’s technology experience, fancy cotton candy giveaways, and an interactive robot that engaged attendees as they walked the floor.
Adobe’s ability to provide a transformative experience at this year’s summit is what sets this marketing conference apart from others. Adobe Summit served up opportunities for attendees to be truly immersed in innovative tools, processes, industry leading brands and thought provoking experiences. If you are a marketer or want to learn more about what’s on the cutting edge of the marketing industry, Adobe Summit is the place to be!
