Global Experience Specialists (GES) has announced that it will sponsor the Women in Exhibitions’ World Summit on 13-14 June.
The event, which will run alongside the UFI European Conference in Maastricht, will be based around the theme Beyond Bias: Breaking Business Barriers and is set to include a range of panel discussions, guest speakers, and networking opportunities.
GES recently reported that 40% of its staff were female, including senior management positions, which it said “contributed significantly to the culture and direction of the business.”
Jason Stead, EVP at GES Exhibitions EMEA said: “We are delighted to make such a public declaration of our support for women in this industry. Providing a dedicated platform from which women can be empowered to share their experiences, knowledge and aspirations for the greater good is a significant step in acknowledging their vital contribution to our industry,”
“As a global brand, we recognise our responsibility to drive inclusivity and equality and work hard to create a fair and nurturing environment for all.”
Sonia Thomas, Women in Exhibitions executive director said: “Sponsors play a vital role in supporting our organisation. GES is already a corporate member of the WIE UK Chapter and is sponsoring our first ever WIE World Summit programme. Organisations like GES are instrumental in helping the WIE network achieve its mission of promoting gender diversity and equality in the exhibition industry.”
