Five Peaks in Five Hours – GES Takes on the Challenge
July 30, 2018 – A team of 13 colleagues at GES braved the elements last weekend (28-29 July) to take on five of the Lake District’s toughest peaks – in just five hours.
The challenge, in support of Cancer Research UK, involved hiking over 2,400 feet, from Robinson in Buttermere to High Snockrigg in Keswick. The team completed the climb in 4.5 hours and were rewarded with incredible views over the Lake District and a fantastic sense of achievement.
Phil Burrows, floorplan department supervisor at GES EMEA, who led the #GES5in5Challenge commented, “What a weekend! With downpours and huge gusts of wind, the hike was mentally and physically challenging. Our team battled through to not only complete the challenge, but to do so with time to spare. I’m immensely proud of the team and delighted that we have raised £3k for Cancer Research UK so far.”
