How to deliver a COVID-compliant event
Earlier this month we worked alongside Informa Markets to deliver all services to Cityscape Real Estate Summit 2020. Of course, it was going to be very different from previous years and Informa was clear in their brief the importance of creating a safe environment for clients to conduct business and interact with a content immersive exhibition.
Be Show Ready event concept
Together we created a concept for a full Show Ready event. The stands packages and sizes were determined by physical distancing guidelines and capacity thresholds detailing the number of people allowed in the stand at any one time. Using Show Ready packages made the exhibiting process easy as well as ensured the build was safe and controlled, operating within GES’ Always On Health and Safety guidelines. Additionally, using Show Ready aligned with Informa’s All Secure programme and sustainability goals.
The concept was well-received by both Informa and exhibitors, selling all available stand spaces whilst obeying to the maximum capacity within the halls.
Visitor flow
The floorplan was designed with 4m wide gangways to allow for two-way traffic and 2.5m gangways for one-way traffic. Over 270-floor stickers were placed directing visitors around the hall to maintain the traffic flow and make clear the maximum capacity of all areas.
GES also designed and built an open conference area which included 2m physical distancing spaces between chairs.
Contactless support
The InfoHub was completely contactless including an acrylic guard and branded hand sanitiser stations at all desks as well as QR codes printed and displayed for exhibitors to access Expresso and order our services online. Using contactless services helped to reduce touchpoints and to keep all staff and attendees safe during the show (image below).
